Nicole Garland Performs in Marist College Benefit Play

Nicole Garland, of Bronx NY, performed in the play "The Vagina Monologues," at Marist College for two performances in mid-February.

Garland, a Marist College Junior, performed in the play that is based on interviews with more than 200 women, celebrating women's sexuality and strength and raising awareness about sex crimes. Proceeds from admission sales to the play go to the Crime Victims Assistance Program at Family Services in Poughkeepsie and the V-Day Organization. This year, the event raised over $1,350.

Marist is an independent comprehensive liberal arts college with an enrollment of 4,200 full-time undergraduate students. Founded in 1929, the College offers 43 major fields of undergraduate study and 12 graduate degree programs.
