Megan McNally Participated in Run/Walk for Hunger Month at Marist College

2011 Dec 16

Megan McNally of Westborough, MA participated in the annual Run/Walk for Hunger Month at Marist College. McNally, is a Freshman majoring in Biomedical Sciences.

"There is a two-fold purpose to Hunger Month," said Brother Frank Kelly, director of Campus Ministry at Marist. "First is awareness that hunger does not just exist in far-flung places across the globe. There is hunger in our own county and country. Second is an opportunity to understand the Gospel message in St. Luke: 'From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.' We all have a role to play in feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and giving shelter to the homeless." Donations from the month's fund and food drives were distributed to Dutchess Outreach, Bread for the World, and Share Our Strength.
