Luis Castillo Participates in Marist College Global Outreach Program

Luis Castillo, of Bronx, NY, will spend his spring break performing community service in Merida, Mexico, through the Global Outreach program at Marist College. Castillo is a Junior Criminal Justice major.

The Global Outreach program is organized each spring by Campus Ministry at Marist. Participants serve those in need at a community center operated by Universidad Marista. Students perform manual labor and create and facilitate programs for children while developing an appreciation for cultural differences.

Marist is an independent comprehensive liberal arts college with an enrollment of 4,200 full-time undergraduate students. Founded in 1929, the College offers 43 major fields of undergraduate study and 12 graduate degree programs. Marist is included in the Princeton Review's 2012 guide to the top colleges and universities in the U.S., The Best 376 Colleges.
